The Seven Deadly Sins Countdown, Day 2!

Thank you to all who shared their sinful snacks! The winner of the Gluttony prize — a copy of Kresley Cole’s A Hunger Like No Other — is…

Kim: “My favorite sinful snack is Ben & Jerry’s Chubby Hubby ice cream. It has a little bit of everything.”

Congratulations, Kim! Please email me offline with your address, and I’ll send you the book.

And now, Day 2 of the Seven Deadly Sins Countdown!

Today’s sin is ENVY. And to show that jealousy can be an asset, today’s book giveaway is…

    SHANNON MCKELDON’S VENUS ENVY!

So for today’s contest, tell me one thing someone else has…and you wish you had it.

I’ll start: I can’t sing worth crap. So I’m envious of Annie Lennox’s singing ability. (And her eyes. Gawd, she has gorgeous eyes.)

Winner to be picked at random tomorrow early morning, before I shlep over to Saratoga Springs for the World Fantasy Convention. Eek, speaking of which **looks at time** I’m off to get myself purty and then hustle off to meet lots of talented authors. And I’ll really try not to puke out of nerves.

    1. Okay, obviously don’t enter me in the contest…hehe. But, guess what book I started last night???!!! It’s yummy already and I totally couldn’t wait to get my hands on it when my daughter brought it home!

I’ll offer up a signed, personalized bookplate to whoever wins today’s contest. Just let me know who the winner is!

    2. A friend of mine has tickets to The Lion King coming to my hometown in the next couple of months, wish I had some!

    3. Whenever I read a great book, I feel envious of the author because *I* didn’t write it! I really hate feeling envious and thinking “AGH! why didn’t I come up with that?!!” It’s totally irrational since I’m not a writer!

    4. See… there’s this author I know that I met at a conference in NYC a few years ago who has this series they sold about a sexy demon from hell who becomes human… I think you know the rest. Well, I want a contract and I want to be a fabulously creative writer, and, and, and.

Back to writing my story for NaNoWriMo.

    5. I envy all you authors who can write these wonderful books that I read.

    6. I am envious of my sister’s who can all dance. I on the other hand got the two left feet and the no-rhythm gene, thank you so much grandpa, and dance like a dork.

    7. I am envious of people who have the talent, whether their voice, their pen, their music, or their brush, who can offer people escapism. I envy them, and say THANK YOU!!!!

    8. I am so envious of those who can play the piano; at parties or any gatherings they can just sit down and play song after song and I could sit for hours and listen to them. I tried taking lessons several years ago and it was a total disaster…absolutely total disaster.

    9. Yay!! Thank you so much!!

    10. I would have said I am envious of all you talented authors who write such fab books. But since someone else has mentioned that, I’ll pick my runner up envy, that of those people with the gorgeous figures, the million dollar legs, the perfect smile, hair that seems never to have even a strand out of place. The beautiful people. I envy them as they make it all look so easy.

    11. Good eyesight. It would be nice to see without artificial help…

    12. Paula - Laser eye surgery. Best medical thing that’s ever happened to me! So awesome.

As for the topic at hand. I’d have to say I envy my BFF. She’s addicted to exercise. Like seriously, if she doesn’t get her time in, I’m tempted to duck her phone calls the next day ’cause she turns into a bitch. She’s even addicted in the perfect amount. She’s not some psycho going hours on end or until she passes out or some other creepy thing. She just has to have her hour a day. For me, it’s like getting the sharp end of a wire hanger shoved under my nails.

    13. I hope I’m not too late. I envy my husband. He has a wonderful voice. I wish I could sing like he does!

by Jambrea on November 2nd, 2007 at 8:48 am

    14. I envy girls that can eat anything and still have a butt that you could bounce a quarter off of. Right now mine is more jello that J-Lo.

Oh well, back the treadmill lol.
