    WTF Does Jackie Mean, “Tweaked”?

Yes, it’s true: I’ve made a few teensy changes to the mass market reissue of HELL’S BELLES. (At least, I’ve indicated that I want these changes; whether they make the cut remains to be seen.) Mostly minor things — there were (gasp) a couple of typos in the trade version, which I (hopefully) corrected for the mass market reissue. And there were one or two inconsistencies (calling one chapter title “The Second Sphere” when it really should have been “The Third Sphere,” stuff like that).

But the big change? Adding a “Then:” to the titles of the handful of chapters that are flashbacks. If there’s one consistent criticism that I received for the trade version, it’s that a number of readers found the time shifts to be jarring. So I figured that tweaking the titles of those chapters would provide a needed visual cue, and it wouldn’t disrupt the flow of the story overall.

There you go: the few tweaks.

    1. After meeting you at RT, I came home and pre-ordered this. Can’t wait until it comes out and tweaking is a good thing

    2. What? What? Those were my favorite parts! I quoted them in my blog, and I’ll look like a liar. My career is in shambles. No publisher will have me if I can’t get a blog right, and now my characters will never be intervied in “Cat and Muse.”

On a positive note, I hear succubi dipped in chocolate are yummy.

    3. Thanks, Jaynie!

Tom!! Hah! (And yes, very yummy. Er, from what I hear, of course.)

    4. Well…OK then. You had me worried! :???:
