It’s Rainy. It’s Cold. Must Be Soccer Season.

It was pouring yesterday morning, and maybe in the low fifties. So of course, that meant it was the day of the first soccer game for both Tax Deduction the Elder (at 9 am) and Tax Deduction the Younger (at noon). They both did great — Loving Husband and I are so proud of them. Most important, the boys had a blast. Huzzah — they were away from the computer for a few hours! Yes, there is a God!

So I tell Loving Husband: “Look at that: I am a soccer mom.”

And he says to me: “More than that: you’re a soccer MILF.”

    God, I love my man.

    Separately:

    - Almost all of the ARCs for HOTTER THAN HELL are out the door, hooray! More than $250 on postage so far. The intrepid postal workers at the local PO cringe when they see me. (And yes, they get a huge acky in the front of HOT. The folks here at the PO are the BEST. Seriously. Thanks, guys!!!)

    - Today at 1, I’ll be on a panel at Colonie Library, talking about writing and the writer’s life and why I had to turn Oprah down. (Okay, not really that last one. I’d **love** to be on Oprah. “Yes, I’m Jewish, and I believe in God. And yes, I write about demons, and nookie, and sweaty demon nookie.” Hmm.)

    - Once I finish my next batch of Cat and Muse interviews (got bunches coming, whee!) I’ll be focusing on HELL 4. That one’s due October 1, so I have to get cracking.

    Happy Sunday!
