Rhyme Time: Sarah Palin From A to Z

    Rhyme time, folks!

    SP

Sarah Palin, from A to Z:

A is for the Alaska Independence Party, which Palin was a-courting.
B is for Banning Books, which just ain’t very sporting.
C is for Creationism, which Palin wants taught in school.
D is for Drilling, so we can haz oil for fuel.
E is for Earmarks - and Palin said they did well.
F is for Fannie and Freddie - “too expensive to the taxpayers”? Do tell.
G is for Glasses, very much the fashion.
H is for Hockey Mom, which is proof of her passion.
I is for the Iraq War, “a task that is from God.” How sublime.
J is for Juneau, where her family rode on the taxpayer dime.
K is for Ketchikan, bridge to nowhere. “Thanks but no thanks”? Surely, you jest.
L is for Lipstick. The ultimate pitbull/hockey mom litmus test.
M is for McCain picking Palin - one of those maverick quirks.
N is for No Sex Ed in Schools. Let’s ask Bristol whether that works.
O is for Online Auction to sell a state plane - except she didn’t sell it there. Too funny.
P is for Per Diem - that’s right, stay home and make money!
Q is for Quite the Overstatement. That pipeline? It’s just on paper.
R is for Russia, Sarah’s Great Foreign Experience Caper.
S is She’s Not a Victim, no matter how they distort it.
T is for Teen Pregnancy: it’s in the press release, but don’t you dare report it.
U is for Under Investigation for the wrongful firing of a police chief, bye bye.
V is for Vagina. Yep, she’s a woman, no lie.
W is for Wasilla, a town of small size.
X is for XX - two X chromosomes in the acceptance speech, no Y’s.
Y is for YouTube. “Like a really bad Disney movie.” Heh, I should say so.
Z is for Zero Credibility. But that’s just IMHO.

    1. All this and they’re ahead in some polls. I can’t understand it.

    2. I love it! I’m sick of the smoke the Repubs are trying to blow up our asses!

    3. You know, Jackie, I’m thinking all the media attacks on her personal life are out there on purpose. People are jumping to her defense and losing sight of the real issues. Even my mother, a staunch Obama supporter, said they need to leave that poor woman alone. How many people are going to turn that feeling into a vote?

by Rinda on September 11th, 2008 at 1:52 pm

    4. Rinda, I hear your point. However, I disagree. Speaking for myself, it’s not about attacking Palin. It’s about setting the record straight.

Even when there are attacks (and I can’t help but think of one of the recent GOP ads supporting Palin, the one with the wolves), I don’t think that’s a reason for people to be quiet. We’re fortunate enough to have freedom of speech. If people decide to share their opinions on the candidates — whatever their opinions, for whichever candidate — rock on.

    5. I didn’t word my thoughts very well. LOL! I meant that I wonder if the GOP knew her personal problems would cause a media frenzy. It’s the perfect sort of misdirection. Something they’re good at.

I certainly don’t feel you’re attacking her–sorry if I made it sound that way. I’m not a fan of the woman’s in any shape or form and want the word out on her policies.

I live in the heart of the bible belt in Oklahoma and people around here think she’s being picked on because she’s a woman–which is so ridiculous considering what I’ve heard them say about Hillary. But was in a restaurant and actually heard some women disussing voting for her just to show the liberal media a thing or two, right after saying they didn’t think she was the best choice.

So, I was more or less wondering aloud about how many of the obvious false Internet rumors are coming from conservative corners…

    6. Rinda, I absolutely didn’t take your comments to mean that you felt I was attacking Palin. :) No worries! And I’m sure there are tons of rumors floating around from ALL sides.

For example, one of the questions Matt Damon has is “Does she really think the dinosaurs were here 4,000 years ago?” That’s because of a so-called Palin quote that’s floating around the Internet now, which has been proven to be false, but that’s not being widely circulated. So a lot of people are wondering what her view on this actually is — unlike the McCain-Palin camp slamming the Enquirerer for its accusations of Palin’s infidelity (which, as far as I know, are still unproven), the M-P folks haven’t officially responded to the whole dinosaur question. So there you go.

    7. LOL! I saw the Damon clip. Now there’s a new “I’m f***ing Matt Damon” video up on Youtube.

I had one of those off days yesterday and wasted a bit of time there and on news blogs. My being out of focus was quite apparent in my grammar and spelling here, in fact. ;)

Now I just have to get past your “sold in a week” comment in the post above. Wow. Seriously cool.
