Be Unreasonable
Loving Husband gave me a phenomenal present today. He and the kids stayed in Brooklyn yesterday at his folks, and I came home to Albany. And starting last night, I’ve been working on HELL 4. I did 2,000 words yesterday. This morning, I gave myself the thoroughly unreasonable goal of writing 10,000 words. Why not? Loving Husband and the Precious Little Tax Deductions wouldn’t be home until tomorrow afternoon at the earliest. And the entire reason he’d done this was to give me time to write.
10,000 words, I told myself. Why the hell (ha ha ha) not?
I got to work around 10:30 this morning.
It’s now 10:45 at night. Total word count for the day? 10,100 words.
I, my friends, kick ass.
**happy dance**
So I’m going to treat myself to another glass of wine, then read the outline for the next scene. It’s a Daun and Jesse scene, so I’ll need some kickass mood music. Maybe something from Evanescence. And maybe I’ll write more tonight.
Because I’m feeling this damn book. I want it done. And it wants to be written.
Vroom, baby.
Morale of the story? Be unreasonable. You’d be amazed what you might accomplish.
