Third…I spoke to Tax Deduction the Elder’s second grade class today about being a writer!!! It was awesome! Okay, I was nervous as heck. But I was prepared. I brought a prop: a silver pen. And one of the things I had them do was use their imaginations to tell me why the pen was special. Holy cats, did THAT go over well! Their poor teacher is probably going to get tons of reports on The Magic Pen now. Heh. I had a blast. My favorite question? “How much money do you make?” My off-the-cuff answer: “Not enough.”
