Caffey, actually, I've been a mess. :) But the pain and hurt of the loss is slowly fading to an ache. At one point, I'm sure I'll stop looking around to see where she is, and I'll remember all of the joy she's given us over nearly 16 years (and even look back fondly on the times when I threatened to turn her into mittens -- God, **why** did she love to eat through plastic bags and then puke everything up?). It hurts, it sucks. But death is part of life. And I know she's stealing the french fries off of angel's plates when she thinks they're not looking. :) ***hugs*** Thanks so much, everyone.
