That's different from the 'mean' or average mentioned above. What that implies is 2 or 3 large seminar productions may sell 5000 books, but Joe Suburbia will sell 5. In this case the <i>average</i> isn't mathematically meaningful, but the <i>median</i> is. I have read the median number of books sold is less than 10. I've been reading up on this and Commercial Publisher seems to be a more accurate term than Traditional Publisher - apparently this term was dreamed up by someone over at Publish America.
